Cooking Class: Xmas Hors d'Oeuvre - Natalie and Friends


Friday night (14th Nov.) we had the first of our Xmas Hors d'Oeuvre classes - this one attended by the very gracious Natalie Moser and her friends. Chef Andrea kept this high energy group in line, ensuring they sliced, diced and pan fried like professionals, while enjoying the wines she'd chosen for the evening. By the end of the evening the group had certainly mastered making, presenting, pairing wines with, and eating the fabulous hors d'oeuvre menu, which included:
Thai Prawn Salad in Cucumber
Mushroom Vol au Vent
Butternut Squash & Roasted Red Pepper Mini Tortas
Seared Scallops with Cider Cream, Prosciutto "Bits" and Leeks Parmesan Chips with Fresh Figs
Duck Wontons on Ceramic Spoon
Mini Bocconcini, Cherry Tomatoes, Pesto & Balsamic Glaze
Mini Lamb Burgers

With this line up under their hats they'll have friends and family knocking at their doors all holiday season!
But of course they won't have Pieter, our very handsome waiter, to help attend them....
