Quince Takes Food & Wine Pairing Class to West Vancouver

Last night Chef Andrea treated West Vancouver residents to a sensational Introduction to Food & Wine Pairing Class through West Vancouver School District's Community Education Program at West Vancouver Secondary School.

Although the lighting and ambiance in the high school's Home Ec kitchen wasn't quite up to the usual Quince hip aesthetic standards, Chef Andrea was able to draw her very attentive students into the refined yet indulgent wine and culinary world she masters. If you look over the menu below, you'll understand why.

Menu
Morandé Pionero Sauvignon Blanc 2008
Las Moras Chardonnay 2007
Wild Smoked Sockeye, Shaved Fennel on Crispy Potato Galette
Pfaffenheim Gewurztraminer 2007
Vegetarian Springrolls with a Sweet Chili Dipping Sauce
The Edge Pinot Noir 2006
Cinnamon Duck Breast, Raspberry Onions, Currant Pinenut Chutney
Hester Merlot 2006
Mini Roasted Beef Tenderloin Sandwich, Horseradish Mayo, Glace di Viande
Prunotto Moscato d’Asti 2007
Fruit Salad with Passion Fruit Mousse

Many thanks to Jill Johnson, Chef Andrea's long time friend and Manager of Community Learning at West Vancouver School District 45, for the invitation to teach these Quince courses to the West Vancouver community, and for just being a great gal!
